Working with Singha Tax

Yes. We are based in Sagarpur, New Delhi, and work with individuals and businesses across India entirely online, using calls, WhatsApp, email and our secure client portal for documents.
GST registration starts at ₹1,499 and GST return filing at ₹1,499 per quarter. For other services we share a clear, fixed quote after understanding your requirements, before any work begins. See pricing.
It depends on the service, but most start with PAN, Aadhaar, bank details and any previous returns or registrations. After your first call we send you a checklist tailored to your case.
Documents uploaded through the client portal are kept in private, encrypted storage that only you and our team can access. We never share your information with anyone without your consent. Read our Privacy Policy.

GST

GST registration is mandatory if your annual turnover exceeds ₹40 lakh for goods or ₹20 lakh for services (lower limits apply in special category states). It is also mandatory for e-commerce sellers and operators, inter-state suppliers of goods and casual taxable persons, regardless of turnover.
Once you share your PAN, Aadhaar and proof of business premises, the GST portal generally takes 3–7 working days. We prepare and check your documents up front to avoid rejections and repeat submissions.
Typically: PAN of the business or proprietor, Aadhaar and photograph of the proprietor/partners/directors, proof of business address (electricity bill, rent agreement or owner NOC), bank account proof (cancelled cheque or statement), and constitution documents such as a partnership deed or Certificate of Incorporation.
A late fee of ₹50 per day (₹20 per day for nil returns) applies to GSTR-3B, plus 18% per annum interest on unpaid tax. Repeated non-filing can lead to blocked e-way bills and cancellation of registration. We send reminders ahead of every due date.
Exporters file a Letter of Undertaking (Form GST RFD-11) every financial year to export goods or services without paying IGST. An e-way bill is generally required when moving goods worth more than ₹50,000; some states set different limits for movement within the state.
Since 22 September 2025, most goods and services fall under two main rates, 5% and 18%, with a 40% rate for luxury and sin goods. The old 12% and 28% slabs were removed and most of those items moved to a lower rate. Special rates continue for gold and jewellery (3%) and rough diamonds (0.25%). Rates are set item by item, so check your HSN or SAC code, or use our GST calculator.

Income tax & TDS

ITR-1 is for resident individuals with salary, one house property and other income up to ₹50 lakh; ITR-2 if you have capital gains, more than one house property or foreign assets; ITR-3 for business or professional income; ITR-4 for presumptive income under section 44AD/44ADA/44AE; ITR-5 for firms and LLPs; and ITR-6 for companies. We confirm the correct form before filing.
From assessment year 2026-27, ITR-1 and ITR-2 are due by 31 July, ITR-3 and ITR-4 without a tax audit by 31 August, audited cases by 31 October and transfer pricing cases by 30 November. The government sometimes extends these dates, so check our Compliance Calendar.
You can file a belated return until 31 December, but a late fee of up to ₹5,000 applies (₹1,000 if total income is ₹5 lakh or less), interest is charged on unpaid tax, and some losses can no longer be carried forward. To correct a return already filed, you can revise it until 31 March.
The new regime is the default and has lower slab rates, while the old regime allows deductions such as 80C, 80D, HRA and home-loan interest. The better option depends on your income and deductions, so we calculate your tax under both before filing.
Anyone with a TAN who deducts tax at source must file quarterly TDS statements. Under the Income-tax Rules 2026 (from 1 April 2026) these are Form 138 for salaries, Form 140 for other payments to residents and Form 144 for payments to non-residents; tax collected at source goes in Form 143. Due dates are 31 July, 31 October, 31 January and 31 May. Quarters before April 2026 still use Forms 24Q, 26Q and 27Q, and a late fee applies for every day of delay.
The Income-tax Act, 2025 replaced the 1961 Act from 1 April 2026. Returns for financial year 2025-26, filed in 2026, still follow the 1961 Act and its section numbers, such as 44AD and 234F. From tax year 2026-27 onwards the 2025 Act applies, with new section numbers; for example, presumptive taxation under 44AD and 44ADA is now section 58. We map the old and new sections for you.

Company & ROC

You need at least two directors and two shareholders (they can be the same people), at least one director who is resident in India, and a registered office address in India. There is no minimum paid-up capital requirement.
Once name approval and documents are in order, incorporation through the SPICe+ form typically takes 7–15 working days, depending on MCA processing times. PAN and TAN are issued along with the Certificate of Incorporation.
An LLP has lower compliance costs and suits professional firms and small partnerships. A Private Limited company is preferred by investors and banks, and allows equity funding and ESOPs, but has more annual compliance. We recommend a structure based on your funding plans and turnover.
Companies file AOC-4 (financial statements) within 30 days of the AGM and MGT-7/MGT-7A (annual return) within 60 days of the AGM, along with auditor appointment (ADT-1). Since 31 March 2026, directors file DIR-3 KYC Web once every three financial years, by 30 June. LLPs file Form 11 by 30 May and Form 8 by 30 October.
An additional fee of ₹100 per day, per form, applies until the form is filed. Continued default can lead to directors being disqualified and the company being struck off the register.

Registrations & licences

Yes. Udyam registration on the government portal is free, Aadhaar-based and does not need renewal. It gives access to priority-sector lending, protection against delayed payments from buyers, and various government schemes. We help you classify your business correctly and keep the details updated.
Food businesses with turnover up to ₹12 lakh need a Basic FSSAI Registration, those between ₹12 lakh and ₹20 crore need a State Licence, and those above ₹20 crore, as well as importers, need a Central Licence.
Any business importing or exporting goods or services from India needs an IEC, a 10-digit code issued by the DGFT. It does not expire, but it must be updated online every year between April and June, even if nothing has changed.
You receive an application number shortly after filing and can use the ™ symbol immediately. If there are no objections or oppositions, registration usually takes 12–24 months; the ® symbol can be used once it is registered. A trademark is valid for 10 years and can be renewed.
Most states require shops, offices and commercial establishments to register under their state Shops & Establishments Act, usually within 30 days of starting operations. Rules and fees vary by state, and we handle the state-specific process for you.
