Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Singha Tax Consultants ("Singha Tax", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through singhatax.com and our client portal, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.
1. Data we collect
- Enquiry details: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, the service you are interested in and any message you send through our contact or waitlist forms.
- Client portal account: your email address, name, phone number and business name. If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name and email address with us; we do not receive your Google password.
- Blog comments: the name and comment you post. Comments are published only after we review them.
- Online payments: your name, email, phone and the service you pay for. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by our payment provider, Razorpay, and never reach us.
- Documents you upload: files such as PAN, GST returns, bank statements or invoices that you share with us to deliver our services.
- Usage data: if you accept analytics cookies, anonymised information about the pages you visit and how you found our site.
2. How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To deliver the services you engage us for, including filings with government portals (GST, Income Tax, MCA, DGFT and others) on your behalf.
- To send reminders about your compliance due dates.
- To improve our website, only if you consent to analytics.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
3. Who we share it with
- Government authorities and portals, only as needed to complete the filings or registrations you ask for.
- Service providers who host our website, database and file storage (Supabase, with data stored in its Mumbai, India region) and, if you consent, Google Analytics. They act on our instructions and are bound to protect your data.
- Where required by law, court order or a regulator.
4. How we protect your data
- All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and stored data is encrypted at rest.
- Uploaded documents are kept in private storage. Database access rules (row-level security) ensure each client can only see their own documents, while our authorised team can view them to deliver your service.
- Portal sign-in uses one-time codes sent to your email, so no passwords are stored.
- Access within our team is limited to people working on your case.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Client records and documents are kept for the duration of our engagement and for as long as tax, company and other applicable laws require us to keep them. After that, they are deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent you have given, or nominate someone to exercise your rights. Email info@singhatax.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we have already carried out, or records we must keep by law.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
- Essential (always on): remember your cookie choice and keep you signed in to the client portal. These are stored in your browser and are needed for the site to work.
- Analytics (only with consent): Google Analytics cookies that help us understand which pages are useful. They are not loaded unless you click "Accept all".
To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and reload the page; the cookie banner will appear again.
8. Grievance officer and contact
For any privacy question or complaint, contact our grievance officer at info@singhatax.com or +91 93552 72079. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it was last changed.
